The Church of Ireland parishes of Desertlyn and Ballyeglish, Diocese of Armagh

In the past, the Church Hall was known as 'The Assembly Rooms' and before then it functioned as an Intermediate school.  Many years ago it was owned by the parish, then, in a poor state of repair, sold to the Drapers Co.  Later, it was bought back again by the parish and a comprehensive work of refurbishment was undertaken, and completed in 1993.  A substantial grant from the International Fund for Ireland made this work possible.

The Select Vestry will be very happy to help anyone who wishes to rent out the Hall.  Please contact the Hall Secretary, Mrs Betty Crooks (028 86748836).   Competetive rates are available, although all applicants will need to provide a copy of their third party liability insurance before a place can be confirmed.

The Church Hall has parking available in front and in the adjoining car parks and streets.

It is in the centre of Moneymore on Smith Street and can easily be seen when driving between Magherafelt and Cookstown.

The G.P. surgery is just behind, with Moneymore's Pharmacy and Post Office alongside.

The main hall is extensive, able to comfortably accomodate large numbers of people. The kitchen is to the left of the photograph and the main doors at the top.  Over two hundred chairs are available, together with fold away tables.  The low ceiling makes it a warm venue in winter.

Another hall is available to the left of this picture.

The kitchen caters for large or small groups.  It is fitted with an integral boiler, two sinks, a fridge, kettle, a selection of cups, plates etc.

The parishioners take great pride in keeping the Church Hall and all its facilities very clean and tidy.
